RecipeShare’s User Data Deletion Policy (“Deletion Policy”) describes how we process and delete data submitted by users who sign up for an account on our Services (“User”) and visitors who access or otherwise use our Services (collectively, “Data”). Capitalized terms not otherwise defined in this Deletion Policy have the meanings provided in our Terms of Service or our Privacy Policy. In general, we will hold user data for the maximum period permitted by applicable laws, or until a user requests its deletion, in which case it will be processed as stated below.

Deletion Process For Users
If you have an account for the Services, you can access, extract, or delete your User Content and any User Personal Data that you have submitted for processing at any time. You can also delete your account manually by visiting the “Settings” page and completing the “Delete Account” process. As part of this process, you will be asked to confirm whether you would like to delete all the recipes and comments associated with your account. If you choose not to delete your recipes, your recipes and comments will be converted to anonymous posts on the website.
Please consider this choice carefully. When Data is deleted, it is permanently deleted or otherwise rendered commercially unrecoverable or unable to be associated with your account. As such, once your request has been processed, information relating to your account will be removed from the Services, and we will no longer be able to reverse this decision.
Deletion Policy Limitations
The deletion procedures described in this Deletion Policy are subject to certain limitations, as described below:
● RecipeShare collects and retains usage data, other metadata and statistical information concerning the use of the Services. As noted in the table above, this data is aggregated and de-identified in such a manner as to remove all association with your account and therefore is not subject to the deletion procedures in this Deletion Policy.
● From time to time, we may require longer than the periods stated above to process your request. In those cases, we will notify you during the applicable request period and provide you with an updated estimate of the anticipated time that will be necessary to process your request.
● RecipeShare collects certain User Personal Data and User Service Data (for example, the names and email addresses of paid subscribers, billing address, and related transaction information) for administrative purposes, including billing, business analytics, marketing, and notification purposes. Such information may be retained for periods longer than the retention periods specified above as necessary to continue to provide the Services to you or to fulfill the other purposes described in our Privacy Policy.
● This Deletion Policy does not apply to data that resides in, or is shared with, services managed and hosted by third parties. For example, if you choose to connect your account on the Services to other social media accounts that you use, information regarding the connected accounts may be processed by the third-party platform according to their Privacy Policy and related terms.
● RecipeShare reserves the right not to adhere to this Deletion Policy when deleting Data in cases where RecipeShare terminates an account for violation of our Privacy Policy or Terms of Service.
● We may also retain certain Data about you as necessary to comply with our legal obligations.
Rights to Delete Personal Data
Nothing in this Deletion Policy should be read as limiting the rights with respect to user personal data provided in our Privacy Policy. In the event of any conflict between this Deletion Policy and our Privacy Policy, the terms of the Privacy Policy shall control to the extent necessary to comply with applicable laws.
